Commentaires du Broker
Boatshed Norfolk are pleased to offer a very rare Sealine 365 Triple Sportsbridge cruiser.
JULY 22. Vendor open to offers
This boat is offered as a light and running project.
The owner bought the boat but soon realised it is far too much of a boat for her to deal with.
There were only 6 or 7 triple engined Sealine 365 Sportsbridge boats ever made and they are very unique in the market. I drove this particular boat 3 hours to her current location on 19/06/24. All three of her engines appear to start and run well and with no smoke. Being Volvo Penta AD41 engines they are amongst the most reliable engine Volvo Penta ever made and ran as they should. The engines ran at proper temperatures and oil pressures on the river with no unusual noises to my ear, and the alternators were all producing charge etc. All three outdrives worked silently and provided thrust with no vibrations or noises, however there are some shifting issues associated with the port and centre drive which to me feel like gummed up shift cables and reverse-latches. Also the port drive came to the surface when placed in reverse indicating a reverse latch that needs attention or possibly trim rams that could need replacing. Still both port and starboard drives shift quietly into forward and reverse gears. The Centre drive was too stiff to get reverse and again cable or latch could well be the issue here. In any event all three engines and drives were used singly and all together on the river, and they all run and work as they should given the above issues. I would recommend a professional survey or inspection of these systems. I did not try the Hydraulic lift and trim of the outdrives. All the engine gauges (except tachos) work and appear to register acceptable and expected values but some do need to be re-fitted, repaired or aligned. Only one rev counter is working as it should.
Some electrical items worked, some did not, so all the electrics need to be checked and/or recommissioned as required.
There is a lot of exterior cleaning to be done but the boat is in original gelcoat so she should clean and polish back to her former glory.
Also externally there is some minor damage to the bathing platform and its rubbing rail which partially detached due to stern mooring over winter, however this is pretty minor.
There are a good number of trim panels in the cockpit that need some reworking and some small items to deal with like broken hinges and upholstery repairs to do. However, after all that, underneath is a very nice boat that internally looks to be in very nice clean and tidy order given the small items to be addressed.
The upholstery inside is all good, the galley is well fitted and equipped and her woodwork is perfectly acceptable. She has two large double cabins and an enormous saloon, two heads and shower compartments, a cockpit shower, battery charger, heating, two fridges, a wet bar and a recent Bailey and Stone canopy that is in very good order.
Make no mistake, there is some work to do here but predominantly it seems reasonably minor with engine and leg servicing and a fair bit of cleaning, some item repair or replacement and systems recommissioning summarising the required work. Do that and you will have a very nice, tidy and large boat that is not only very comfortable and capable of all types of boating but also a rare and quite wonderfully flexible sports cruiser that will impress.
She drives perfectly well on the centre engine on the river (no power steering) or the outer two engines (with power steering) or on all three and is amazingly quiet in operation.
I have no BSS info so please assume that she needs one for inland use.
So she is offered as a light (ish) project that you should have inspected and or checked but this could be a bargain boat that can be brought back to her former glory quite easily with a little time and effort.
These boat details are subject to contract.
